Lead II - UX Design

Role Proficiency:

Independently design innovative end-to-end user experiences that optimize user needs in two or more platforms. Mentor the senior designers on the team

Outcomes:

      Take ideas and concepts and visualize them in such that they are communicated effectively and compellingly for internal leaders partners and customers       Turn visions into concepts and translate those concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity despite complexity of the system       Directly responsible for delivering User Experience visions UI specifications wireframes and visual designs.       Function as part of a cross-functional design team and employ a user-centric design methodology to develop new and derivative user interface designs for web and mobile applications.        Collaborate effectively with other designers UI Architect Product management and Development team.       Mentor and support multiple teams       Works on multiple moderate to complex projects/tasks.       Leads collaboration with business development research and prototyping and product management to define the next generations of business concepts and solutions       Collects reviews and may assist in refining client requirements.   Communicates analysis recommendations and potential design solutions verbally and through documentation to the project team and key stakeholders including product managers visual designers and other UX and Design team members.   Ensures the team stays on top of new trends in usability.   Researches best practices in Web Desktop and Mobile application design.   Ensures team adheres to standards and processes.   Ensures team collects UX metrics to measure and tracks the impact of design changes on user experience.   Ensure capability development in area of expertise (training the team)

Outputs Expected:

User Research:

Participate in user studies and research Document user stories and problem statements Information research through data collection Assist Specialist in documenting user stories and problem statements


Testing:

Execution of Concept and usability testing


Design:

Independently create UX designs Participate in brainstorming sessions on the design by working with other stakeholders


Customer orientation:

Establish familiarity with customer product branding schemes


Documentation:

Compile required documentation for the project releases


Reporting:

Status reporting to team lead


Teamwork:

Document the best practices for the team members Mentor junior team members Seeks information on issues impacting progress

Additional Comments:

Create and lead the design engagement with UX Strategy, Conceptualisation, User Journeys, Information Architecture, Prototyping & Visual Designs for large-scale solutions along with the ability to drive conversations with the skate-holders Identify opportunities to create business value and improve the user experience, based on user research, organise opportunities into visually compelling matrices Identify strategic opportunities for competitive advantage based on findings Collaborate and work with other design leads, design leadership, strategists, researchers to achieve project and business objectives Understand the target audience deeply, develop user profiles, conduct task analysis, create user scenarios, and navigate smoothly through ambiguity Lead development of personas/segmentations based on research findings, integrate personas/ segmentations with related deliverables such as opportunity maps Facilitate user scenario planning sessions/design thinking workshops with internal teams & clients Estimate, plan, and lead tracks of creative work/projects in the development of a quality solution track progress according to the plan created for the project (e.g., conduct design reviews and creative status meetings as needed) Collaborate closely with the engineering team and make sure designs are implemented to meet Moonraſt’s quality standards Lead participatory design/user testing sessions, present findings & recommendations to cross- functional teams and client stakeholders, and manage operational level client meetings Inspire, mentor and support the members of the design team
