Lead Information Security Analyst
Overview Lead Information Security Analyst Carrollton, TX The Lead Information Security Analyst is responsible for leading our security operations detection and response functions. Reporting to the Director of Information Security, you will be a critical part of our Security Operations team that protects the Company’s digital assets against the ever-changing threat landscape. This position is responsible for security operation areas, such as incident response, forensics, security monitoring, threat management, and vulnerability management. In addition, this role will also provide operational tasks in support of the day-to-day administration duties as well as providing guidance to junior analyst. Essential Responsibilities Lead the incident response process, providing expertise in containment, eradication, and recovery efforts. Perform threat hunting and continuous monitoring activities to identify potential security risks. Collaborate with the security operations team to improve incident detection and response capabilities. Provide leadership and guidance to junior analysts on cybersecurity best practices, tools, and technologies. Ensure the team is updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and techniques. Conducts research and evaluates intelligence data, with specific emphasis on tactics, techniques, and procedures. Converts threat information into actionable intelligence by integrating related Indicators of Compromise (IOC) into SIEM operations and incident response strategies Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and scans across the organization’s IT infrastructure. Analyze, prioritize, and track remediation efforts for identified vulnerabilities. Collaborate with IT and application teams to ensure timely patching and mitigation of vulnerabilities. Prepare and deliver regular reports on the status of the Vulnerability Management Program and other security initiatives to senior management. Assist in developing and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures. Stay up to date on the latest vulnerabilities, threats, and attacks; research and recommend new security solutions. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior analyst role. Strong knowledge of vulnerability management processes, tools, and best practices. Hands-on experience with Microsoft E5 security tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Defender, Azure Security Center, and Cloud App Security. Proven experience in mentoring and leading a team of cybersecurity professionals. Strong understanding of incident response, threat hunting, and security operations. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Experience with Data Loss Prevention technologies, Microsoft technologies preferred Ability to work in a dynamic, demanding, and challenging business environment.
