Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Network Engineer

 As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector's Infrastructure Platform Network Services team , you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.

Job responsibilities

 

Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scopeDrives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologiesWorks with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processesExecutes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexityStrongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actionsAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience with  network design, engineering and implementation experience within a large enterprise environmentExperience on DMZ architecture and Cisco datacenter fabric Experience on BGP, OSFP, EIGRP, VRF, TCP/IP, ISP routing Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming/scripting/DevOps languages: Python, Ansible, Terraform, JSONUnderstanding of micro-services, CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, APIsExperience of  one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessmentsDrives to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the productDeep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private cloudsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience with network security technologies such as firewall, proxy, and load balancer Experience with internet services traverse through  the DMZExperience working with Agile methodologies like Kanban & Scrum
