The Lead IoT Developer is responsible for shopfloor equipment connectivity in support of bringing smart factory solutions into reality. The role will involve remote management of inhouse staff and external contractors
Manage activities to connect our factories within Magna’s selected framework.Develop new techniques to connect legacy equipment to modern infrastructure.Create IoT applications that run on-premises and in the cloud.Develop KPIs, metrics, and other monitoring tools to track I4.0 production environments.Work with source control tools (Confluence, GitHub, etc.)Support Magna locations to connect equipment and systemsWhat you'll bring
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of studyMinimum three plus (3+) years of related experience requiredPLC programming background, i.e., Siemens, Omron or Rockwell controllersRobot programming background, i.e., Fanuc, ABB, Kuka etc.Understanding of multiple computer programming languages, i.e., JavaScript, C#, R, Python, C++ and/or JavaExperience with microservices such as NodeRedExperience in Unified Name Space ArchitectureExperience with tools like Kepware and IgnitionExperience of AMQP and MQTT message protocols and implementationFamiliarity with BI technologies, i.e., Microsoft Power BI, AWS Quicksight, QlikviewExperience in Factory Cyber Security topicsExperience in project managing multiple activities.Experience of managing teamsWhat we offer
