The Lead Laboratory Technician works under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor and /or Lab Director and in their absence under the direction of the Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), to provide technical, clerical and patient care support services. The Lead Laboratory Technician will work very closely with the Lab Director and Supervisors/CLS Leads to assist in providing leadership and guidance to the LTA staff.

Required Qualifications:

Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement. California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire, Or California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire    Must meet the physical requirements of this job listed on the RU-91 form for Laboratory Technician.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent  Phlebotomy Certification One year's experience as a Laboratory Assistant/Technician in a hospital based clinical Laboratory. One year's experience as a phlebotomist.
