Lead Linen Room Attendant (EVS)

Reporting to the Linen Supervisor, the Linen Team Leader is responsible for providing guidance to, and assisting the Linen Attendant team members in completing all daily responsibilities and goals set forth by the department and YRC. This role is ideal for a hands-on, task-oriented, individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who works well in a group setting. This position requires awareness of safety protocols, collaboration and engagement with team members, and accurate daily completion of reports. The individual selected for this role is expected to assist in championing the goals and priorities of the Tribe in a manner that reflects and upholds the Tribal Community’s vision, mission and values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Guide and motivate linen attendants to work as a team to meet daily, weekly, and annual goals, as set forth by the Linen Supervisors and members of management. Guide and provide assistance, as needed, to the Linen Attendants with completing their daily assignments and with meeting the annual objectives set forth by the leaders.2.    Transport linen articles to and from the Service Center and Casino by using the company truck, pallet jacks/movers, flatbed carts, hand trucks, and linen transports.3.    Oversee and manage daily inventory of supplies, including ordering and organizing all linen chemicals, cleaning supplies and equipment.4.    Communicate safety instructions to all linen attendants and ensure safety precautions are being followed, including proper labeling of all chemicals. Complete daily inspections of all service areas, storage rooms, and corridors.5.    Maintain strong working relationships with department management, as well as multiple internal departments, to successfully deliver on all washing and cleaning requests.6.    Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

 EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum of one (1) year of experience as Linen Attendant required.

Experience in laundry/linen industry preferred.

Must have ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)

Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high demand environment.

Demonstrates great attention to detail with strong sense of urgency.

Strong interpersonal skills; including telephone skills, written and verbal communication, and active listening.

Ability to multi-task with strong time management and organizational skills.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS

At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.

☒ Authorized Driver: Role requires operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles or driving patron vehicles. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the insurance carrier is required.

☐ Driving Responsibilities: Role requires regular commuting between locations. A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance with minimum liability limits is required. Role will not operate or drive Tribe-owned vehicles or patron vehicles.

☐ No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver’s license or insurance.
