POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Machine Operator is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of machinery used in the production of BioBait's biodegradable fishing lures. This role involves leading a team of machine operators, ensuring efficient and safe manufacturing processes, and maintaining high-quality standards

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Machine Operation: Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure efficient and safe manufacturing processes.Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor a team of machine operators. Coordinate daily tasks and ensure that team members follow standard operating procedures.Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet BioBait's standards. Address any quality issues promptly and effectively.Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production. Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance activities.Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, materials used, and any issues encountered. Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with company policies.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Promote a culture of safety within the team.Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products. Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely availability of materials.Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production management, quality assurance, and supply chain, to align production activities with company goals and customer requirements.ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required:    High School Diploma or Equivalent Years of experience:  _____1 year preferred________
