Lead Management Analyst
Summary As a Lead Management Analyst for the Office of the Assistant Attorney General (OAAG) in the Criminal Division (CRM), Department of Justice, the selected candidate will analyze and assist in managing the administrative operations of the office in support of CRM's dynamic domestic and global missions. As the senior leadership office for CRM, OAAG supervises the 16 CRM sections and oversees the development, enforcement, and supervision of the application of federal criminal laws. Responsibilities As Lead Management Analyst, you will: Assist the Administrative Officer in channeling specific work assignments carried out by clerical and professional positions assigned to the Office of the Assistant Attorney General in support of the Assistant Attorney General, Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General, Chief of Staff, six Deputy Assistant Attorneys General, and Senior Counsels. Analyze issues regarding workflow, organization, and planning, to assist leadership in developing strategies for effecting improvements to business operations. Develop measurements of productivity and effectiveness to form conclusions. Ensure consistency across the support staff by assuring timely completion of work, evaluate work products, and return work products for corrections, revisions, and follow-up. Research and document processes that support the application, institutionalization, and continuous improvement of sound administrative practices. Assist with and support various types of meetings, such as hosting delegations and other DOJ senior leaders, as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, applicants must have one of the following: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three (3) full years of progressively higher education leading to such a degree, or LL.M, if related, that demonstrates the competencies needed to do the work of the position; OR Possess one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-09 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include: Analyzing and recommending improvements to administrative business processes; assisting with developing and updating policies, procedures, and guidelines of administrative processes; and planning and coordinating administrative projects; OR Have a combination of education and experience. Please note, only education in excess of two full years of graduate education may be used in this calculation. To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-11 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include: Analyzing and recommending improvements to administrative business processes; assisting with developing and updating policies, procedures, and guidelines of administrative processes; developing metrics and reporting to measure effectiveness of administrative processes; and planning and coordinating administrative projects. Combination of Education and Experience - Your current education completed is credited as a percentage of the education required for the grade level and your current experience is credited as a percentage of the total experience required for the grade level. The two percentages are added and must equal 100% in order to qualify for the desired grade level. All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
