WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
An integral part of the Finance function which liaises with numerous Operating Company departments to proactively understand the Operating Companies’ business requirements and activities and ensure such activities comply with Federal, State and Local indirect tax laws and regulations.Support Tax and the RAI Companies by providing guidance to S&RA, Operations, Trade Marketing, Consumer Marketing, Finance, R&D, External Affairs, Legal, Procurement and other internal partners.US Customs Import Compliance – manage day-to-day US Customs import compliance processes and provides daily oversight of Company’s Customs broker.Ensuring compliance with US CBP regulations related to FTZ operations.Support the timely preparation & filing of all Annual and Supplemental Tobacco Product Manufacturer / Vapor / Alternative Nicotine Product Certifications, in accordance with the MSA / state legislation, with state Attorney General Offices and/or state Departments of Revenue to obtain / maintain, legal-for-sale tobacco product Directory listing for the product portfolios of all of the RAI Operating Companies.CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?
Have you served as a liaison with, or officer of Federal, State or Local Government revenue or regulatory agencies in a previous position?Do you possess excellent leadership, interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills?ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, international trade or related field.Minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience including public accounting, US Customs, import compliance, and/or legalKnowledge of applicable laws / regulationsStrong working knowledge of Company systems [e.g. SAP, WMS, MS Office, etc.]Able to adopt new technologies to streamline existing processes to generate efficiencies / improvementsStrong ability to quickly grasp complicated subject areasStrong business partnering skillsMust be capable of managing multiple simultaneous projects while demonstrating the company values and strong leadership skillsBENEFICIAL
