As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes within the Nuclear Power Generation manufacturing department, focusing on improving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness by analyzing production methods, equipment, and materials, often collaborating with other departments to identify and implement improvements across nuclear product lines.
 

As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Participating in, upholding, and promoting the Baker Hughes safety cultureWorking within the scope of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code for Nuclear, ISO9001:2015, and AS9100D, where applicableTaking ownership and mastering RS processes and productsTroubleshooting shop floor issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing corrective actionsManufacturing traveler/router creations and modificationsDispositioning of non-conforming products and equipmentHandling product and process failure analysis/troubleshootingManufacturing processes and quality control through collaboration with operators, data collection, and trend trackingManufacturing process auditsPurchasing manufacturing tooling and consumablesHandling scrap reduction through process improvement projectsFixturing design and implementationManufacturing procedure creation, modification, and associated operator trainingEngineering change managementHandling Capital Equipment project justifications, management, and implementation

To be successful in this role, you will:

Have a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college / or an associate’s degree with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering.Have experience with Shainin, Six Sigma, and LEAN methodology implementationHave knowledge of vacuum equipment and systemsDemonstrate proficiency MS Office suite, SolidWorks, SAP, well engineering and design softwareHave mechanical inspection techniques and abilitiesHave exceptional mechanical aptitude and hands-on abilityUnderstand mechanical drawing creation and interpretationHave robust knowledge of geometric and dimensional tolerancing (GD&T)
