The Lead Fitter / DME Fitter is responsible for providing mastectomy, cane, compression garment and oncology product fittings at Shine. This position is responsible for oncology product ordering, inventory management, and sales of oncology products as well as training on these products for all fitters at Shine. The Lead Fitter / DME Fitter is responsible for maintaining all patient files and preparing required paperwork for claims submission and patient insurance documentation. This position is responsible for preparing staff for accreditation and regulatory surveys as it relates to our DME license.
ResponsibilitiesLead Mastectomy Fitter
Patient fittings: compression, mastectomy, cane, wig, etc. including documentation and patient file creation and maintenance related to insurance, provider communication and products.Submits all Medicare claims via third party vendor.Trains and educates all fitters related to regulatory requirements, product knowledge, Shine policies and procedures.Inventory management of oncology goods – buying, stocking, pricing, sales, marketing and merchandising. Establishes and maintains vendor relationships.Directs work of volunteers during shift to ensure tasks are complete.Open and closing of store including till reconciliation and deposits into safe.DME Fitter
Patient fittings: compression (custom and over the counter), mastectomy, cane, wig, etc. including documentation and patient file creation and maintenance related to insurance, provider communication and proof of delivery.Submits all Medicare claims via a third party vendor.Assists in ensuring store meets regulatory and compliance standards as a DME supplier.Manages inventory for DME and oncology products – vendor relationships, purchasing, stocking, receiving, pricing, merchandising, etc.Selecting and buying DME products for resale within budget and approval from supervisor.Directs the work of volunteers during shift to ensure tasks are complete.Open and closing of store including Point of Sale reconciliation and transfers.Other duties as assigned to support Retail Stores and Supervisor. Required:
High School graduation or GEDCertified Mastectomy Fitter (either from ABC or BOC)Minimum of four years retail sales experience and two years of fitting experience.Ability to be sensitive to patient needs (emotional and financial)Comfort working with patients in various stages of treatment.Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into various platforms (Microsoft office suite and databases).Preferred:
BA/BS in related field of studyCompression garment fitting experience.Familiarity with medical billing and terminology.DME Fitter
Required:
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of three years garment fitting experience.Comfort working with patients in various stages of treatment.Critical thinking skills.Ability to work in a fast paced, complex health care environment.Ability to be sensitive to patient needs (emotional and financial).Customer service skills.Basic knowledge of medical terminology.Strong organizational skills.Advanced ability in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Point of Sale systems.Ability to work independently and as part of a team as the situation requires.Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone and in writing in a clear, concise and professional manner.Preferred:
Minimum of three years’ experience in healthcare or fitting durable medical equipment.Certified Mastectomy Fitter (CMF) or trained compression fitter.DME product and fitting experience in either mastectomy products, compression, cane or other DME category.Willingness to become a Certified Mastectomy Fitter within 6 months of starting position.Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards for DME suppliers.A minimum of two years retail sales experience.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $26.48 to $37.70 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
DME Fitter
The hourly pay range for this position is from $25.22 to $35.90 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
