Job Description

πŸš€ Your Role as an Lead Mechanical Engineer

You are responsible for the development of mechanical parts and assemblies for security video cameras;As a lead member within the team, you will be responsible for the mechanical team allocated to your project, coordinating tasks and distributing workload accordinglyYou will be the main mechanical contact point for the project, responsible for providing realistic and data-based planning for the project tasks and communicating on different levels within the organizationTogether with the mechanical architects, you will participate on the architecture definition, concept creation and proof of feasibilityYou will be responsible for translating product requirements into mechanical parts and follow-up from design up to and including release for mass productionYou analyse customer requirements and ensure that they are implemented, safeguarding functionality, performance, quality, reliability and manufacturability of products;You will work on a multidisciplinary team, making use and sharing your expertise to review and advise on multiple designs/concepts and coach junior team members.

Qualifications

πŸŽ“ What You Bring:

A Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;Relevant experience (around 10 years) in development and industrialization of complex products;Experience as a lead engineer, including regular communication with other domain departments and external suppliersAble to balance business needs with quality requirements;Familiar with state-of-the-art development techniques and CAD (preferably CREO);Able to proof the design by means of calculations and simulations;Experience in common manufacturing processes such as: sheet metal, plastic injection moulding, machining, die casting, etc.Knowledge on coatings and surface treatmentsFamiliar with AI tools for mechanical hardware development
