We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer for direct hire in Cary, North Carolina. The selected candidate will mentor and/or manage junior and mid-level mechanical engineering staff members while also working closely with clients to deliver exceptional services in the energy sector.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 5:30pm

** This position can work a Hybrid schedule in Cary, NC (typically ~ 2 days/wk) **
** This position requires a Professional Engineer License (any state) **
** This position may require travel, as required (typically ~ 10%) **
Responsibilities- Lead a Mechanical Engineering team to provide advisory services and engineering design solutions for clients across all market sectors
- Engage with clients, evaluating their energy needs, and develop concept-level plans and solutions; then take these through detailed design to provide for full execution
- Collaborate with our client account managers and sales professionals on pursuits of strategic importance to the firm
- Anticipate challenges and manage “up and out” while supporting large teams responsible for the daily details of project delivery
- Strategy formation, business development and sales
Qualifications- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- 10+ years experience in engineering design or consulting
- A Professional Engineer License (any state)
- Proven ability to engage with clients, develop relationships and win work, then deliver
- Demonstrated ability to engage in business growth strategy; including exploration and development of new project opportunities
- Experience with proposal development and project execution planning; including scope development and manhour estimates
- Strong technical writing skills
