Peak Vista Community Health Centers is a nonprofit health care organization whose mission is to provide exceptional health care to people facing access barriers through clinical programs and education. We provide integrated health care services including medical, dental, and behavioral health through our 22 outpatient health centers. We deliver care with our strong "Hospitality" culture. Our organization has over 800 employees and serves more than 81,500 patients annually in the Pikes Peak and East Central regions of Colorado. Our service area covers 14 counties, from the front range to the Kansas border, with locations throughout Colorado Springs, Fountain, Flagler, Divide, Limon, and Strasburg. Compensation (Pay): $23.64 to $34.28/hourly, based on experience.
A $1000 sign on bonus will be paid in the following manner: $300 payout upon 30 days of employment, $300 payout upon 90 days of employment, and $400 payout upon one year of employment*.
*Current employees are not eligible for the sign on bonus.
Loyalty Bonus - $1200 upon 1 year of service and then a $300 payout for every additional 3 months worked. This applies to only FT employees. The amount will be prorated for PT employees.

Summary: The Lead Medical Assistant provides administrative support, and leadership guidance for all designated staff, as assigned. Assists in the execution of all routine clinical and administrative duties and functions in the delivery of patient care. Observes and verifies competency of Medical Assistant staff ensuring quality care and exceptional service is provided to the patient, as applicable. Adheres to all Peak Vista policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent education. Associate in health-related field or business preferred.
Work Experience: 2-3 years as a Medical Assistant required. Supervisory experience preferred; medical office experience strongly preferred.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge, experience with use of electronic health records, internet, database software, and keyboard skills.
Certification and Licenses:
Registered/Certified Medical Assistant; BLS certification
