Job Overview:

Performs all duties related to the preparation and testing of specimens, and documents all information required. Performs Quality Control when appropriate and documents all results. Assists students and other non-certified personnel when in the lab. Participates in evaluating, documenting, and implementing technical assays

Qualifications:
Required:

Meets education and experience equivalent to the guidelines mandated by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), CLIA and the New Jersey State Department of health and Senior Services (NJSDHSS) lawsBachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field

Preferred:

ASCP or NCA certification preferred

Essential Functions:

Performs and interprets routine diagnostic assays on blood and body fluids,Performs all duties related to the preparation, identification, and testing ofspecimens,Performs all related documentation tasks,Participates in evaluating, documenting, and implementing technical assays,Provides guidance to non-certified personnel,Assist the supervisor in resolving dailyAssist the supervisor in resolving daily issues/conflicts,Frontline interviewee during unannounced inspections in supervisor's absence
