Position Description

Provides oversight to assigned advance practice providers.  Performs history and physical examinations, orders and interprets diagnostic studies and treats illnesses and carries out appropriate intervention/procedures as determined by the plan of care.  Coordinates care of assigned patients according to Northside Hospital established Standards of Care.

Position Requirements

Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies OR BSN and successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner general or specialized from an approved nurse practitioner program Georgia State Medical Board Certification and adherence to the Medical Practice Act provisions; Current NCCPA certification OR Current state registered nurse license; current state license as an advanced registered nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority; current CPR certification. One 1 year experience. Please refer to the Medical Staff Guidelines for certifications and credentialing applicable to this position.   Preferred: Current BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification
