Job Description: Lead Middleware / Backend Java Developer Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Middleware / Backend Java Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead and mentor a team of developers, provide technical guidance, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role involves developing new features, enhancing existing functionalities, and working with various AWS Cloud Services. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Mentorship + Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance and support. + Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment. + Act as a point of communication between the development team and stakeholders. Development and Enhancement + Develop new features for the client's application platform. + Enhance existing functionalities of the client's application platform. + Develop workflows and APIs. + Develop and enhance existing AWS Cloud Services for the client's application. Code Quality and Reviews + Conduct regular code reviews to maintain high standards of software quality. + Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of applications. + Implement performance tuning and provide technical solutions to resolve complex technical issues. + Unit test new features and enhancements. Support and Coordination + Provide adequate support to the QA team during SIT and UAT to resolve QA defects. + Ensure story alignment between the client and the supplier team before development. + Participate and contribute to software and architectural development activities. + Perform at an advanced technical level and demonstrate a complete understanding of all phases of systems analysis. Technical Skills: + Proficiency in AWS EKS, AWS S3, Java (Camel EIP), MS SQL Server, ArtemisMQ, Flowable BPM (Activiti variant), IBM Autosys. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. + Minimum of 9 years of experience in middleware/backend development with AWS/Java. + Strong leadership and mentorship skills. + Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues. + Experience with Agile methodologies and practices. + Strong communication and coordination skills. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with Batch programs development/maintenance. + Familiarity with JIRA for issue tracking and management. Work Environment: This role may require occasional on-call support and the ability to work flexible hours to address critical issues.
