Key Responsibilities:

KBR is seeking a Lead Modeling & Simulation Engineer to join a team of quantitative analysts and modelers that conducts modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of emerging concepts for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) using advanced MS&A techniques and tools.

The ideal candidate will:

Be able to think creatively and offer grounded, out-of-the-box solutions when appropriate.Be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and with making or supporting decisions under uncertainty.Support the analytic team lead in the execution of study plans.Provide technical direction to subordinate modelers to execute tasks on schedule and to exercise quality control over deliverables.Collaborate with military subject matter experts and DARPA program managers to characterize architectures and concepts under study in the simulation environment.Instantiate combat system, platform, and behavior models in the simulation environment.Instantiate kill chains, battle management command and control relationships, and other scenario-specific mission and operational factors in the simulation environment.Support the development and instantiation of an experiment design in the simulation environment.Be able to independently lead teams and tasks in support of a broader analytic or modeling effort.Support development of analytic deliverables and reports and exercise quality control thereof.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or other STEM field, plus 10 years of relevant experience, orMaster of Science in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or other STEM field, plus 8 years of relevant experienceHigh level of proficiency in a mission-level combat modeling & simulation suite such as AFSIM, NGTS, etc.High level of proficiency in C++, Python, SysML, or other programming languageActive Top-Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility

Desired:

Master of Science in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or other STEM field, plus 12 years of relevant experienceHigh level of proficiency in model-based systems engineering tools such as CAMEO

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40hrs

Basic Compensation:

$ 185,000 to $210,000K

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
