Lead MRI Technologist

As the Lead MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies. Insures effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, it trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc. Produces high quality diagnostic images. Orders supplies, cleans units, assists in preparing for transport on a daily basis. Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists. Trains new technologists and/or PCs.

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:

Required:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT. State license, if applicable. CPR Certification Valid state driver’s license, as applicable. Technologists registered in other modalities - 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program. MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT - No experience required. The ability to work at various locations. Strong customer service skills.  Organizational and multitasking skills.  Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Preferred:

Associate’s degree or Equivalent Experience Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT. 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience.
