The Lead Network Engineer shall lead the entire network team of Network Team in support of the BEP IT Network Infrastructure.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the performance of all tasks associated with the administration of Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks LAN/WAN. Oversight of Administrative tasks shall include, but are not limited to: network connectivity troubleshooting; hardware and software evaluation, testing, installation, configuration, upgrading and troubleshooting; network device troubleshooting; administering network monitoring tools such as Cisco Prime/Cisco DNA Center; administering Cisco Network Port Security; administering Cisco NAC; network device repair or replacement; maintaining and updating network topology documentation; respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve issues routed to them through the Service Desk; maintaining network device inventory documentation; minor cable repairs and replacements; evaluating, testing, and upgrading network hardware and software in accordance with BEP Configuration Control Board (CCB) policies and procedures; Internet Protocol Address Management (IPAM) and related documentation management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must maintain a current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.At least four (4) years of experience working with the TCP/IP networking environment; familiarity with Domain Names Services (DNS), etc.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILTIES:
High level of familiarity with networking technologies and capable of troubleshooting all levels of network connectivity issues including, but not limited to, network outages, switch failures, network performance, network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration, etc.Knowledge of and familiarity with Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies including, but not limited to, routers, 16.3.2.1 ATM, Frame Relay, etc.
