You will help solve a constant stream of challenges with continuous innovation, using an evolving set of inspiring technologies in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.As a Lead Network Engineer on the Global Infrastructure and Networking team, you will work in a dynamic team environment and be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting network and security technologies to solve large, strategic problems, transforming these complex problems into simple solutions. You will evaluate and define network security policies and controls; manage network infrastructure; perform security risk assessments; respond to security events; make data-driven optimizations; and resolve complex operational issues in production through improvements to designs, software, and processes.
This role requires extensive experience in engineering and operation of large-scale enterprise networks, including LAN, WLAN, WAN, Cloud, and Datacenter, as well as experience in developing and operating security systems and applications to defend the network infrastructure against cyber threats—protecting data, applications, devices, and systems connected to the network.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience8 years of experience in enterprise networking8 years of experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting networks and security systems in organizations with wide area networksIndustry certification, such as CCNP or equivalent training and developmentIn-depth experience in TCP/IP network fundamentals, routing and switching technologies and protocols, such as BGP, OSPF, DMVPN, SDWAN, BFDExperience in data protection technologies, including encryption, key management, data loss prevention, and hardware security modulesPreferred qualifications:
Experience in major incident management and security incident responseExperience with cloud networking (Azure), ISE, Meraki, Umbrella, SDWAN, Palo Alto, and WAFExperience with SIEM, identity/access management, security operations and analyticsExperience with infrastructure automation and orchestration, secure software development, application security and pen testingExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsDemonstrable ability to mentor others in a team environmentResponsibilities:
Design, implement, and support secure solutions for on-premises and cloud network infrastructures, defining and developing automations to enable large-scale deployments and operations.Develop policies and documentations on best practices for new network technologies, as well as adoption methods.Obsess over customer experience and drive operational excellence through strong technical leadership and mentorship.Advise on secure solutions for system and network development lifecycles, while participating in developing annual plans for budgets and projects.Function as an area leader on large projects and/or project leader on medium and large projects. Coordinate resources, milestones, schedules, and related communication to meet project deliverables.Identify and prioritize security vulnerabilities in our environment, while driving effective remediation accordingly.Perform security reviews and audits to help WWW Cybersecurity teams with compliance activities and response to cyber threats, incidents, and anomalies.Collaborate with vendors, industry organizations, and cross-functional teams on the development of new network capabilities, company-wide network initiatives, strategies, and roadmaps.Participate in rotating on-call schedule; support disaster recovery initiatives and change management processes; and assist in developing workflow standards and proceduresEvaluate make vs buy system alternatives under general direction; maintain awareness of current technologies and trends; assimilate new technology into company work environment.Develop technical and business proficiency through education, work assignments, research, and technical/user group participation; demonstrate practical application of learning and actively share knowledge across functional area.Working Conditions
Preference will be given to candidates based in Michigan. However, this role is eligible for 100% remote work for the right candidate.
