Job Details
To lead the introduction of new products by evaluating the design concept developed by the designers for its feasibility for mass production, plan the resources and monitor the production of the sample product at each stage to ensure that concept is faithfully replicated to the final prototype and ultimately to mass production

Design : Strategy development : Annual Operating Plan
1. Participate in the development and finalisation of the design calendar alongside other stakeholders by providing inputs with regard to the feasibility of the design from a production point of view
2. Develop the NPI calendar aligned to the design calendar balancing the weak and peak season and planning the resources accordingly
3. Develop the annual budget for the year based on the requirements and rejig the same based on the approvals

Design : Product Development : Design concept feasibility
1. Ensure that the design concept is allocated to the vendors for the development of prototype, provide required approvals post evaluation of technical, cost, production feasibility and quality specifications
2. Finalise on the design direction in coordination with other stakeholders (design team, merchandising team, ISCM team)
3. Determine make / buy decisions in liaison with the ISCM team based on the assortment plan form the merchandiser and PDIS developed by the design team

Design : Product Management : Make Route
1. Develop the guidelines for technical evaluation and ensure the technical evaluation of the design concept is conducted as per the guidelines
2. Provide recommendations on the CAM model and manage any issues and provide requisite approvals for proceeding for further stages
3. Review the master developed and provide recommendations aligned to the design concept
4. Evaluate the prototype for its alignment with the requirements and ensure that inwarding is done in the system as per the guidelines
5. Manage the conduct of the NPIM meet post the QA evaluation and iterations and ensure that iterations are incorporated and final order quantity estimated

Design : Product Management : Buy Route
1. Ensure that the technical evaluation of the design concept is undertaken and vendor finalised based on the capabilities in liaison with the ISCM team
2. Ensure that the vendors are briefed on the products aligned to the requirements
3. Review the CAD and CAM designs and provide recommendations and approvals for proceeding to further stages
4. Review the Ghat and the final prototype and provide required iteration recommendations to ensure alignment with the requirements
5. Manage the conduct of the NPIM meet post the QA evaluation and iterations and ensure that iterations are incorporated and final order quantity estimated

1. Evaluate and select the vendors based on their capabilities and offerings to best partner based on the requirements
