Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Tech) – The Jewish Hospital

Job Summary:

The Lead Nuclear Medicine Tech applies the practice of nuclear medicine imaging through safe and effective use of radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine equipment.

Essential Functions: 

Manages the procurement, triage, preparation, quality control, calculation, identification, documentation, administration, disposal, storage, and safe handling of all radioactive materials.Leads the daily section operations and acts as point of contact for hospital staff, physicians, patients, and their families.Manages staff scheduling, maintaining team oversight, and delivering trainings.Monitors section’s nuclear equipment, coordinating repairs and making recommendations.Researches, develops, and implements quality performance standards and imaging techniques.

Education:

Associate’s degree from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited institute (required) 


Licensure/Certification:

Certification and Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) (required)State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required)
