Milford Regional Medical Center has one of the busiest emergency departments (ED) in central Massachusetts seeing approximately 60+ thousand patients annually. Our ED has 50 beds with a design that provides a safer environment for patients, includes family space to allow them to stay with their loved one and an improved working environment for staff. Enhanced patient comfort in a welcoming environment, better efficiency with its own diagnostic radiology room, other state-of-the-art technologies, and specialized treatment areas for specific patient populations all support the delivery of high-quality care.
Statement of Purpose:
Under the direction of the Director/Nurse Manager, assumes responsibility of coordinating the flow of patients as well as working the human and material resources of the Department. Delivers and supports quality care adhering to regulatory requirements, professional standards, and evidence-based practice guidelines. Demonstrates progressive leadership skills as evidenced by motivating, leading, and coaching others effectively, making independent decisions and showing clear, unbiased judgment in resolving conflicts. Supports and promotes management decisions, goals, and initiatives. The Lead Nurse also fulfills the duties of the Registered Nurse job description.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing for Registered Nurses, (BSN preferred)
Job Knowledge and Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, problem solving, conflict management, and leadership skills required
Certification / License: Current RN License in Massachusetts and current BLS/ACLS/PALS required. Current specialty certification and membership in a specialty organization preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years nursing experience in current specialty required. Charge or leadership experience preferred.
MRMC Differentials:
Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $4.75 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
