As a Lead Offshore Structural Engineer, you will be responsible to effectively manage and provide technical direction to their civil engineering team on specific projects to assure the design integrity of a specific project or projects including team performance within stated budget and schedule constraints.

To succeed in this role, you should have experience in Leading teams as Principal / Lead Structural Engineer.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Lead Offshore Structural Engineer to join our team in Bangkok Office, Thailand

The role responsibilities include\:

·      Builds positive working relationships with external parties such as the customer, suppliers, and contractors.

·      Supports proposals by developing the discipline execution strategy, estimating costs, writing proposal content, and presenting to customers.

·      Supports the business by communicating team resource loading and skill requirements to a direct supervisor or Discipline Manager.

·      Act as Lead or Senior Engineer in project execution, taking ownership of specific tasks within the project.

·      Ensures team member adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.

·      Gathers data from multiple sources and prepares engineering studies, analyses, calculations, etc.

·      Knows the project and discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success. Implements innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence.

·      Supports management of project change and progressing for the discipline and works with the Project Management Team to take corrective actions regarding any issues, staffing requirements, scope changes, progressing, or other events that could affect project completion and/or profitability.

·      Gathers data from multiple sources and prepares engineering studies, analyses, calculations, etc.

 

What you’ll have

·      Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering)

·      Experience in design of offshore structures/platforms, and in Brownfield structural engineering.

·      Hands on experience on SACS

·      International codes and standards, Analysis and Tools  (API RP 2A, AISC, DNV, ISO, SACS, USFOS, GRLWEAP, FEA program)

·      Understanding of substructure and topsides in-service analyses; pre-service analyses will also be beneficial.
