Lead Onboarding Consultant

CLA is looking to hire a Lead Onboarding Consultant for our National Outsourcing - Client Success Team. This team is focused on providing an expedient and best in class onboarding experience for our clients.  You, in collaboration with your team, will focus on developing innovative processes, utilizing technology to the fullest extent, and reinforcing a culture in which the client experience is at the center of everything we do.  You must be innovative, data-driven, an outstanding communicator, tech-savvy, and passionate about helping clients.  You must be excited about building new processes, managing change, and implementing new ideas.

As the Lead Onboarding Consultant you will:

Onboard new clients that are utilizing CLA’s outsourced accounting and finance services.

Develop and follow an onboarding process that includes utilizing project management tools and interfacing with clients.

Create and manage client onboarding project plans including determining and meeting realistic milestones and deadlines.

Be curious about clients’ businesses and quickly learn business drivers, strategy, risk areas, and accounting concerns.

Communicate with clients frequently; you will be professional, listen in order to understand clients’ needs and expectations, and present well.

Assess client financial statements and determine accounts that require clean-up, which could include obtaining supporting documentation, developing reconciliations, and using your professional judgement.

Review chart of accounts and system setup and make recommendations on how to better structure financial data and utilize technology.

Understand and apply accounting concepts, GAAP, and other accounting guidelines.

Implement clients on new accounting software which may include general ledger, spend management, payroll, reporting and other accounting applications.

Develop applicable management reporting package utilizing a reporting system and incorporate feedback from client to ensure the management reporting pack meets client requirements and is meaningful to their business.

Work across a wide variety of industries, pulling in additional industry expertise when needed.

Leverage technology to automate internal and client processes to improve efficiency.

Solicit, collect, and interpret client feedback.  Develop ways in which to use that feedback to improve the onboarding process as well as inform future marketing and product/service strategies.

Be collaborative with the ongoing client engagement teams to ensure a smooth handover from the onboarding phase to recurring engagement phase.

Think strategically about client segmentation, change management, and onboarding strategies; collaborate frequently with the Client Success team to continuously improve the client onboarding experience.

Job Requirements:

Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an accounting or finance field position.

Education: Bachelor's degree is required (preferably within accounting, finance, business administration or a related field). Combination of experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

General knowledge of accounting software and aptitude in using software to serve clients.

People management experience with the ability to lead change management and influence clients and colleagues.

Highly organized, strong communicator, desire to build and make change.

Travel: This position requires frequent local travel to/from client sites and may require occasional non-local or overnight travel for client visits, training, meetings and/or other business-related purposes.

The wage range for this position is: $73,724.00 – $119,586.00
