We are looking for a Lead Operative to join our team in West Thurrock. In this role, you will support Team Leaders and ensure smooth operations within our recycling warehouse for a leading supermarket.
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on the shift pattern of ‘4 on 4 off’, covering the hours of 06:00-18:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
Support Team Leaders with the daily supervision of operatives and agency staff in line with operational requirements Ensure systems are utilised to enable the operation to run on a daily basis Work with Team Leaders to ensure that the shift runs according to set targets, deadlines, and customer requirements Perform various warehouse operative tasks such as pushing and pulling cages, sorting and unloading recycling packaging, stacking and restacking plastic pallets
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Previous experience in a similar role within logistics essential Excellent IT skills including MS Office Apps Clear and effective communication with all stakeholders Flexibility in your approach – we do have peak seasons!
