Lead Operator


Our Lead Operators work on our innovative DuraFlex products. Providing the best customer service in the industry allows us to continue raising the bar on what quality service looks like.


Essential Functions

Responsible for daily activities of the production line(s), ensuring product adheres to DuraFlex’s standard of safety, quality, and throughput.Read work orders, give instructions, and/or perform tasks assigned.Operate various equipment Efficiently, and Safely compliant with company safety policies.Utilizes standard work processes to ensure repeatable performanceFully participate in all Continuous Improvement and Safety efforts.Demonstrates the aptitude and skill to work in all assigned areas of productionTroubleshoots minor production line issues when required.Strong commitment to safety, housekeeping, productivity, and quality with demonstrated resultsOperates forklift following Company standards and guidelines by safely picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise palletsResponsible for daily/weekly audits including 5S and approving finished unit product quality before leaving the departmentPerform other duties as assigned by management.

(K) Knowledge of working with technology and Microsoft Office 365 Products.(A) Ability to identify and resolve problems.(S) Strong Interpersonal, decision-making, and organizational skills(A) Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.(S) Must possess high personal energy and the ability to drive daily organizational measurements(S) Promote teamwork and assess areas where support may be required(S) Have flexibility to work where needed(A) Strong attention to detail(A) Ability to understand and analyze data(K) Working knowledge of ERP / MRP type systems

Work Environment and Physical Demands 

Warehouse / Manufacturing settingProlonged periods of standing & repetitive movements throughout the entire shiftMust be able to lift up to and/or move materials up to 50 pounds at timesErgonomics, Lifting, Bending, Pushing, Pulling


Travel

This job requires no planned business travel.


Education and Experience

High School graduation or equivalent is required. Combined experience in this type of job role of 2 (two) or more years in a manufacturing environment with education is desirable.Experience in leading teams in machining and assembly environments2+ years of forklift experience preferred Basic math and business writing skillsMust have the willingness and ability to work some weekends or provide OT support, if needed
