**About The Job**
**Implement Best Practices for Exadata and Autonomous Databases in the Cloud.**
Intercept and handle Oracle security notifications and the impact on the OCI environments
**Oracle Database Expertise**
- Proficiency in Oracle Database administration, including versions 19c and 23ai
- Experience with Oracle Database Enterprise Edition and its features
- Knowledge of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard
**Oracle Cloud and Autonomous Database Skills**
**-** Understanding of Oracle Autonomous Database architecture and management
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Exadata Cloud Infrastructure
- Ability to manage and monitor Autonomous Database instances
- Proficiency in cloud automation tools, APIs, and user interfaces for database management
- Understanding of cloud licensing models and subscription types
- Experience with backup, recovery, and patching in cloud environments
**Oracle Cloud-specific Security and Performance**
- Skills in database security, including Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
- Ability to implement and manage database detective and preventive controls
- Experience with Autonomous Databases (ATP, ADW) performance tuning and optimization
- Networking knowledge for database connectivity and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Oracle Machine Learning, APEX, and SQL Developer Web
- Experience with Oracle JSON, Oracle Text, and Spatial databases
**Advanced Database Technologies**
- Expertise in Oracle Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA)
- Knowledge of Oracle Clusterware and Automatic Storage Management
- Experience with database sharding and infrastructure tuning
**Database Administration**
- Install and upgrade Oracle database software
- Apply regular database and application patches
- Refresh DEV/TEST instances from PROD
- Troubleshoot and support database-related issues
- Plan, monitor, and manage database capacity
- Tune slow-performing programs
- Maintain database security and fix vulnerabilities
- Support SOX audits
- Work with Oracle Support
**Cloud Migration and Management**
- Migrate databases to cloud platforms (e.g., OCI, Azure)
- Set up and support cloud database security features
- Manage OCI components (Object storage, compute instances, VCN)
**Data Replication and High Availability**
- Set up and support Oracle GoldenGate
- Configure and manage Data Guard
- Implement RAC (Real Application Clusters)
**Security and Compliance**
- Manage certificates
- Support vulnerability management tools (CSPIDM, CCDR, MUAM, HALO)
- Set up and manage DB Vault
**Performance Optimization**
- SQL and database tuning
- Use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring
- Set up monitoring and alerts
**Backup and Recovery**
- Set up, monitor, and support RMAN backups
- Experience with backup, recovery, and patching in cloud environments
**User Management**
- Handle Production Update Requests (PUR)
- Manage user creation and deletion

**Requirements:**
+ Minimum of 3+ years in Oracle Cloud Technology as Cloud Infrastructure Operations/Admin
+ Requires 5+ years' experience in Public Cloud platforms
+ Preferably 7+ years' experience working with Linux Operating System
+ Experience in Administrating PaaS Services like Golden Gate, ATP, ADW, and Fusion ERP Services
+ Provisioning Oracle ATP & ADW Autonomous Data Guard
+ Usage Monitoring of OCI Services, Auto Scaling, and Message packs consumption of Universal Credits
+ Configuring Oracle Cloud Services Backups and Object Storage
+ Configuring and Managing OCI Compartments and Provisioning services across Availability and Fault Domains.
+ Knowledge of best practices for the Development Lifecycle for Dev, Test, UAT, and Prod Services
+ Highly motivated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills; willingness to work through and solve complex problems.
**Desired:**
+ Azure Public Cloud experience is a plus.
+ A Computer Science, Information Systems degree or extensive experience in OCI is recommended.
**Education:**
Preferred bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, or Science or equivalent experience
Our Lead Database Administration, earns between $116,700.00-$175,100.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
