Objectives of the Position
Establish, develop and drives P&SS business in India across 4 Segments- Professional Pest Management (PPM), Public Health (PH), Home & Garden (H&G) and Rodenticide on Rice.To be part of defining mid- and long-term strategic plan to accomplish above objective and convert it into a workable implementation plan and execution. Achieve long strategic financial goals by implementing strategy leading to expand business coverage driving volume, net sales and margin growth.Effectively collaborate with P&SS Region, Global and local team to seek right support and ensure rich & timely communication
Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities
Professional Pest Control:
Co-develops and implements Professional Pest Control Strategy which is a coherent End user-distributor-influencer approach to ensure sustainable achievement of the sales goals. Define priority focus states & areas.Distribution: Create an all-India distribution network to support commercial enable sustainable success. Drive Sales objectives to meet financial goals across distribution channels as defined above.Explore sales efficiency improvements thru collaboration with Key Accounts (Rentokil), National Pest Control Companies and B2B customers on procurement of BASF solutions and potential collaboration business. Engage and Collaborate with Key Influencers, Technical institutes, Pest Control Associations both Regional and National in the development and launch of new solutions for the market.
Public Health:
Understand Regional/ Global direction to lead public health business in India.Define processes to drive LLIN tender business in India.Engage with LLIN Toller & Distributor to understand key LLIN procurement tender processes.Support LLIN Distributor on information needed for submission of tender.
Home & Garden:
Coordinate with Global KAM and Regional office to drive local actions. Manage B2B Home & Garden Key account on development and commercialization of pest control solutions for DIY use.
Rice crop- Rodenticide:
Co-develops and implements Rodenticide Strategy on Rice which is a coherent end user-distributor-influencer approach to ensure sustainable achievement of the sales goals. Collaborate with Crop team and co-create targeting strategy based on top priority rodenticide markets on RicePlan and oversee execution of joint marketing and sales activities for rural rodenticide Create and administer internal and external Trainings, stewardship talks, Accreditation process by effective collaboration with Key Influencers, Technical institutes both Regional and National in the development and launch of new solutions for the market.
Business Steering / Product Development:
Accountable to deliver annual, quarterly and monthly sales performance aligned to agreed budgets. Provide timely updates via Monthly business review to Local and regional business steering teamsCreate business cases in Strive for new pipeline products.Support marketing team on Long Term Amiga planning.Ensures that BASF global and industry compliance guidelines are followed and implemented in local crop protection business. This includes product stewardship, EHS, Intellectual Property defense and procurement Evaluate the technical and commercial fit of new products with regional technical community teamWork closely with marketing team/ Technical teams new Product Launch packages to ensure successful launches
Job Requirements (Minimum requirement to carry out the work)
Education
BSc. Agriculture or scienceMaster’s in science or business managementWorking Experience
15 years of experience is professional pest management, public health, consumer centric DIY pest control markets with at least 10 years of experience business management including channel, people, sales & marketing and product development.Technical & Professional Knowledge
Experience in multi-national companies or large local companies are preferred. With excellent network in the pest control industry, government agencies, research institutes, advisors, etc.Technical & Professional Knowledge: Understanding of professional pest control market: technical, commercial, application technology and industry knowledge. Tools for problem-solving, decision-making, project management and negotiation.Ability to manage income statement and profitable growthMS Office/Windows applications, Mobile applications, etc.
