Saint John Hospital is looking for a Lead Patient Account Registrar (Lead PAR) n the Admitting Department to join our growing and dynamic staff!
The Lead Patient Account Registrar (Lead PAR) duties include, but are not limited to:
ensuring a smooth patient flow and quality registrationmaximum Point of Service patient collectionsoutstanding customer service in his/her area of responsibility.the Lead PAR coordinates break and lunch times to ensure coverage needs are met and applicable employees receive a lunch breakassists Supervisor in managing fluctuations in volume by requesting reinforcements if volumes are high and flexing staff if volume is low to meet productivity expectationsthe Lead PAR is knowledgeable regarding all duties within the department - he/she leads and serves as a resource for other employees on policies/proceduresunder the Supervisor's direction, he/she takes the lead in assuring compliance and completion of all daily duties within the departmentthe Lead PAR sets the example in exemplary customer service and overall conduct - he/she relates well to patients, visitors, physicians, other departments, management, employees in own department, etc. Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent, requiredextensive knowledge of Patient Access required, Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferredexceptional interpersonal & organizational skillsdemonstrated leadership and management abilitiesextremely high degree of attention to detailgood written and verbal communication skillsability to prioritizegood analytical & problem solving skillsproficiency in Microsoft Word and Exceability to effectively manage multiple demands and function well under pressure
