The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.
**Job Overview:**
In this role you will lead, manage, mentor, and build an extremely talented software payment engineering team to deliver a game-changing customer experience across all touch points. You will be accountable for the payments area and manage the team to deliver the changes required. As part of the role, you should be able to communicate with Senior management and provide periodic updates.
**Job Duties**
+ Effectively communicate with and influence key stakeholders across the enterprise, at all levels of the organization
+ Ability to leverage sound judgment and problem solving to tackle some of the most critical problems and connect the dots to broader implications of the work
+ Ability to present information to a wide variety of audiences including senior management
+ Design and develop cutting-edge solutions, using existing and emerging technology platforms
+ Build awareness, increase knowledge, and drive adoption of modern technologies and architecture patterns, sharing customer and engineering benefits to gain buy-in
+ Oversee projects that adhere to continuous delivery practices with automated unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing pipelines
+ Perform complex application design and programming activities in the latest techniques: Scala, Java, Node, REST, microservices, AWS/Cloud infrastructure, Spark, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins
+ Provide technical leadership in terms of architecting applications, mentoring developers, making smart technology decisions, and more
+ Deliver projects that adhere to continuous delivery practices with automated unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing pipelines
**Required Skills:**
+ Minimum 12 years of developing at all levels of the application stack (front end/UI, middle/services and back end/database)
+ 12+ years of application development using Java, Python, and/or Scala
+ Experience managing teams in Agile environments
+ Experience required in Banking Payment Applications
+ Experience with Java and Java frameworks
+ Added Experience identifying and debugging cloud technologies
+ Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
+ Understanding of Different Payment Message Standards (ISO 20022, NACHA, SWIFT etc).
+ Experience with any Vendor application like Fiserv Pep+, Fiserve EPP, GPP Fusion
+ Experience in Payment Hub
+ Experience in ACH, Wire, RTP, API Payment Processing
+ Experience leading and mentoring an engineering team with a wide range of skills (front end, back end, APIs, QA, and DevOps)
+ Experience with major public cloud offerings and how to solution designs that are built around these technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and similar) will be an added advantage.
+ Experience leading technical iteration on the design, development, documentation, testing, and deployment of platform user interface features
+ Prior experience with building distributed, multi-tier applications which are highly performant and scalable
+ Must possess organizational, problem-solving skills and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
+ Effective verbal and written communicator; able to present complex issues and solutions with appropriate levels of detail to diverse (technical and non-technical) audiences
+ Broad functional understanding of Fixed Income, Derivatives (IRS, CDS) and Foreign Exchange financial instruments
+ Excellent communication skills
**Education:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
**Work Location(s):**
+ As per MUFG’s Return to Office policy **,** must work onsite for 4 days per week & 1 day remote out of our Jersey City, NJ office.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $193K - $243K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
