Lead PCB Engineer
Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of complex high-density PCBs for a variety of electronic applications.Utilize advanced PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD, PADS) to create detailed schematics and layouts.Extensive experience in PCB design, including high-speed and high-density designs. Conduct design rule checks (DRC) to identify potential issues and ensure manufacturability of the PCB designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers, to define design specifications and requirements.Perform signal integrity analysis, thermal analysis, and design for manufacturability (DFM) assessments.Prepare documentation for manufacturing, including Gerber files, assembly drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) principles, PCB fabrication and assembly processes.Mentor and provide guidance to junior PCB designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Experience with signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC principles.Knowledge of IPC standards, RoHS, REACH, and other relevant regulations.Oversee the prototyping process, validating designs through testing and iteration.Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance product designs and processes.

Work Experience

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.Experience with multiple PCB design software tools.Familiarity with high-speed and Hi-Temp PCB design principles.Strong understanding of IPC standards for PCB design and fabrication.Experience with multi-layer PCB designs and complex circuitry.Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity analysis.Proficiency in CAD and CAM software for PCB manufacturing.Proven experience as a PCB Designer or similar role.Strong understanding of electronic components and circuit theory.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to translate engineering requirements into detailed PCB layouts.Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams.Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
