Lead Performance Analyst - Subject Matter Expert
Job Description An exciting opportunity for a Subject Matter Expert to join in the role of Lead Performance Analyst to join the market leader in clean marine technology, Silverstream Technologies.

Company: Silverstream Technologies was founded in 2010 with the aim of optimising fuel efficiency in the Maritime sector using air lubrication technology. The Silverstream® System is a proven energy saving technology, delivering 5-10% net fuel and emissions savings and can be used on both retrofit and newbuild vessels. Air lubrication is a strategically important technology which addresses the immediate decarbonisation requirements and the operational efficiency challenges emanating from future energy transitions.

Location: London HQ, Marylebone or Chandlers Ford, Southampton Office. 

Reporting to: Head of Performance

The Lead Performance Analyst will be responsible for the technical leadership of the performance team, responsible for the prediction, validation, monitoring and improvement of ALS performance. This includes establishing and coordinating the governance to the performance team core activities (development of performance estimates, performance analysis, performance monitoring and improvement plans) as well as leading research and development activities in the performance space.

Experience / Qualifications Required:
Higher Degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics or equivalent subject. Experience in conducting trials at ship, specifically in the context of ship performance, is essential. Experience in managing experimental research in relation to ship performance and/or energy efficiency technologies is desirable. A detailed knowledge of ship resistance and propulsion and hydrodynamics in general is essential. Demonstrable knowledge of ISO/ITTC standards associated with ship performance is desirable. Ability to write code to implement statistical and analytical models and processes in Python or similar is essential. Experience in extracting, cleaning and preparing data including good knowledge of SQL.

This role is an office centric position, you will be required to have full UK working rights, without the need for future sponsorship and be a commutable distance from the London or Southampton office.

Successful candidates will be taken through a 2 stage interview as standard,  with the potential of a third stage interview to meet the CEO.
