The Assistant Supervisor provides first-level direction and hour-to-hour supervision giving work assignments, and checking the work of employees. The Assistant supervisor knows the processes and how to get work completed. Coordinates department activities to maintain standards. Assists supervisor with leadership of the department in order to meet company goals and objectives.
Highlights of your role Engage and empower department Execute strategies as set by Supervisor. Coach employees to elevate performance effectiveness. Encourage and motivate employees. Oversee the manufacturing process. Understand the department's production opportunities and challenges.Plan and communicate daily assignments, monitor job rotation and ensure training is provided. Monitor and adjust processes to ensure goals are met Aid in process changes and continuous improvement of work efficiency.Coordinate work to meet objectives. Reinforce and implement improvements and waste elimination initiatives. Identify and communicate obstructions to meeting daily goals. Ensure all safety policies and practices are followed. Salary Range Hourly- $21.00-$28.00 You're a good fit if you have (or if you can) Good communication skills. Good planning and organizational skills. Self-starter. Ability to monitor progress and adjust on-the-go. Also want to make sure you have High school diploma or equivalent. Previous management or coordination experience.
