Lead Pharmacy Technician

Assists pharmacy department with variety of vital functions including maintaining automation, performing quality improvement/data collection, evaluation/maintenance of clean room/compounding areas, oversight of daily technician roles, ensuring compliance with regulatory/accreditation standards, processing of medication orders and or medication requests from a pharmacist, and primary function of medication reconciliation in the Emergency Department. This position provides organizational and technical support to ensure proper preparation of pharmaceuticals and compliance with established protocol and guidelines for pharmacy operations.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

High school diploma or Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician or pharmacy training program. Three (3) years of experience in either hospital or advanced pharmacy role One (1) year as a Pharmacy Technician at Northside Hospital. Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
