Responsibilities

Lead assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in pharmacy services. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance across pharmacies and to clinical leadership.

Lead or coordinate shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.Serve as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties as associates they lead.Assign, monitor and review progress of work. Monitor and report compliance with policies and/or procedures. May resolve scheduling issues.Oversee daily activities of the pharmacy technicians under the direction of the pharmacists and management.Assist with specialty projects and tasks as assigned by Pharmacy management. Participate in problem solving within the department.Provide input into hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

 

Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.

 

One or more of the following required:

Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
