with Hartford Hospital one of the largest and most respected teaching hospitals in New England We are a Level Trauma Center that provides cutting edge treatment to its patients This is made possible by being home to the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and the Center for Education Simulation and Innovation CESI one of the most advanced medical simulation training centers in the world When hospitals cannot provide the advanced care expertise and new treatment options that their patients require they turn to usThe Safe Patient Handling Mobility Lead is responsible for the Hartford Hospital Mobility and Safe Patient Handling programsThey will be responsible for maintenance and progression of these programs to ensure compliance with hospital standards The lead will be the liaison between the rehabilitation department and other departments across the hospital including but not limited to nursing providers quality emergency medicine and radiology services The role will also include collaborating with various leaders through our Heart and Vascular Ayer Neuroscience and our Orthopedic Institutes Day to day functions of the role include care team education through in services and hands on instruction as well as participation with our Geriatrics Nursing and Falls Committees The lead will serve as a consultant for reviewing and analyzing patient handlinginjuries in collaboration with the colleague health department They will be responsible for developing initiatives to promote a culture of safety Expectations will include dedication to improving patient and
