As a Lead Platform Architect, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Software Engineering Platform Architecture team reporting to the Director Platform Engineering, you will support projects including technical aspects of Hilton’s API layer.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

\n

What your day-to-day will be like:

\n\nUnderstand, document, and describe complex technical subjects in understandable terms.\nFacilitate collaborative planning, prioritization, oversight, and support of Hilton’s digital experience API platform in collaboration with cross-product/multi-functional partners.\nLead the delivery of platform capabilities across Hilton’s web/mobile streams and stress versatility as API platform interests are broad (forefront product awareness, enterprise infrastructure familiarity, data, and API proficiency).\nLead several projects/tasks allowing Agile/iterative platform development: roadmaps, context/sequence diagrams, epics, stories, collaboration space documentation, and presentations.\n\n

How you will collaborate with others:

\n\nCollaborate with Product, Software Engineering, Core Architecture, and Security to balance interests and needs.\n\n

What projects you will take ownership of:

\n\nAllow cross-stream digital experiences by defining API and platform capabilities that use Hilton’s evolving service/API-driven infrastructure and third-party services/integration.\nLead API platform capability planning within platform delivery roadmaps, enterprise-level technology transformation, and Hilton's digital growth, engagement, and revenue.\nAssess platform performance to find opportunities to increase client application/platform performance and stability or provide advantages.\nSustain awareness of existing and upcoming API platform capabilities and communicate opportunities for platform enhancements to technology and product partners to support strategic planning as technologies evolve\n\n

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

\n\nFive (5) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field\nFour (4) years of software/platform design and implementation experience\nExperience in query performance reports and optimization\nExperience in API platforms and integration with web/mobile applications\nHands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React, JavaScript, and Gitlab technologies \nExperience working in an Agile environment \nAbility to travel up to 15%\n\n

It would be useful if you have:

\n\nBachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience \nSeven (7) + years of professional work experience in Technology or a related field\nExperience with GraphQL and AWS\n\n
