What You'll Do
Hold responsibility for the preparation of deliverable documents including narratives, calculations, drawings and specifications Attend client meetings, lead the coordination effort between external and internal project teams Independently evaluate and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction Assemble effective project teams Oversee plumbing design calculations and equipment selection Perform site visits and issues reports Provide training, guidance and development for staff Write plumbing specifications; provide updates to master specifications and standards Develop client relationships Participate on firm leadership committees Determine plumbing system requirements for various building types Oversee the application of the project quality management plan (QMP); project team leadership and discipline project management, complete the project on time within budget May be responsible as the Engineer of Record (EOR) Inspire and motivate staff Serve as a technical resource for the company
What You Bring
College Degree for discipline work or equivalent experience Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) preferred LEED accreditation preferred 5+ years direct experience in MEP Consulting or 7+ years related experience Proficiency in mechanical and plumbing system design Advanced understanding and application of building codes, plumbing design concepts, applicable plumbing codes and standards including: UPC, IPC, NFPA and IBC Ability to effectively communicate design options Strong delegation skills Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills Microsoft Office Suite Thorough understanding of interdisciplinary coordination Location: this is a hybrid position located in Seattle, Washington
What We Offer
Hiring Base Salary Range: $99,700 - $137,000 annual This position is eligible for straight time overtime pay
The base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered. At PAE, roles are eligible for additional rewards, including salary increases and annual bonuses based on individual performance. The above range represents PAE's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
