Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services and Systems Division is hiring a Lead Power Systems Engineer to join our team in the Power Systems Engineering (PSE) group. The position is based out of our Kitchener, ON facility and offers a hybrid working schedule.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide applied engineering and technical consultation for customers in the areas of power systems studies, power quality analysis, substation design and training.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university Active P.Eng. License in any Canadian ProvinceMinimum of five (5) years’ experience working as Power Systems EngineerExperience using Power System modeling packages such as: SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, CYME etcExperience conducting Short-Circuit Analysis, Protection Coordination, and Arc Flash studies Must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and within the futureNo relocation is available for this position; candidates must currently reside within an 80km radius of Kitchener ON to be considered
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in engineering, preferably in Power Systems Engineering Advanced experience in multi-function protection relays, setting files, and logic filesExperience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems is highly desirablePrevious experience with Power Quality Measurements and AnalysisKnowledge of engineering standards including CSA, NEC, NESC, IEEE and ANSIElectrical System Design (Substation, Distribution System, and P&C)
