Lead Process Manufacturing Operator (Autofill) 3rd Shift

As a Process Lead you will be responsible for overseeing the operational processes of an organization to support business goals. Evaluates the efficiency of workflow procedures, identifying inconsistencies, and revising processing techniques as needed to improve deliverables, maximize productivity to achieve business goals. 

You will be responsible for training new employees, sharing best practices, and ensuring team members are qualified to perform the work. Lead motivates and provides guidance to team members, cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms, and behaviors, guided by Roche operating principles. As a Process Lead, you will identify opportunities that would drive the business forward.

The Opportunity

Third Shift Position 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Quality and Safety

You will ensure safe and healthy processes by addressing hazards and reporting incidents and near misses; maintain Right to Operate.

Maintain the quality system, meet quality objectives, and ensure audit readiness (OSHA, FAA, FDA); represent the team during audits/inspections.

You will ensure accurate procedures and instructions for material management per FDA, OSHA, QSR, ISO, and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Coordinate and facilitate training to maintain over 95% compliance; assist with NCR investigations, reworks, and corrective actions.

You will monitor, review, and update work instructions and operational procedures; collaborate with other functions as needed.

Ensure inventory accuracy and adherence to control processes.


Production

You will direct employees and contractors to achieve production goals and schedules; lead more than one production line.

Provide 20% to 40% line support, including material handling, building products, formulating solutions, facilitating material availability, and performing SAP transactions.

You will interface with complex systems and regulated environments; coordinate equipment maintenance and calibration.

Complete daily end-of-shift reports to ensure communication and synergy between shifts and teams.


Continuous Improvement

You will ensure adherence to 6S, cycle times, and standard work; identify and implement process and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will facilitate and participate in Tier Meetings and staff meetings.

Troubleshoot problems, engage support functions, and implement preventative measures.

Collect and trend daily metrics (e.g., Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) to identify gaps and support operational excellence.


Teamwork and Collaboration

You will collaborate with peers across shifts/functions to achieve daily targets.

You will provide performance feedback to leaders.

Ensure successful onboarding of new employees and contractors; participate in the interview process.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

You have an Associates Degree 

You have 3 years relevant work experience, preferably in GMP environment 

Prefer previous experience leading teams or projects

Knowledge Skills and Abilities :

Demonstrated experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement

Proficient with Google products ((Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Doc, etc.)

High degree of initiative with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Previous experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred

Ability to read, write and comprehend English

Ability to work with cross-functional teams

Ability to be punctual, work quickly and accurately in a high-volume environment with constant change

Ability to inspire and influence others

Ability to give and receive feedback in a coaching manner

Strong organizational skills, planning skills and attention to detail

Strong communication skills - written, verbal

Strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills

Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tasks and competing timelines

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ 50,400.00 - 93,600.00 USD Annual.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
