We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Product Engineer to join our assembly team and provide customer support for our electronic casino gaming devices. This is a position based in the US, but with impact on our gaming channel across the globe. This colleague will be the face of a critical technical product for us, leading all aspects of product improvement, manufacturing and sourcing, deployment, customer training, troubleshooting, service and quality testing. As the Lead Product Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet customer needs and are delivered on time and within budget. Your contributions will be critical to the success of our company.
What you'll do as a Lead Product Engineer:
+ Product Development - Responsible for identifying, scoping and implementing new product features and technical processes supporting our electronic casino dealing shoe and gaming equipment. Oversees multi-disciplinary engineering functions across team members, international colleagues, and external vendors
+ Operations Management – Ensures necessary product and component inventory is stocked to support day-to-day business functions
+ Manages vendors to control lead times, cost and quality for parts, firmware, design services, tooling and certifications
+ Ensures equipment is certified according to casino gaming jurisdiction requirements
+ Maintains the manufacturing cell: certifications, production schedule and a safe clean environment
+ Proactively maintains product design and drawing files
+ Gathers forecast data from global sales team and creates a build and deployment plan
+ Leads the product assembly team in testing (hardware and firmware) and providing technical troubleshooting during development
+ Customer service and Support - Leads training for new customer deployments and prepares associated training materials and documentation
+ Implements product support plans to provide maintenance and service at customer sites and training for international staff
+ Reports out on insights from the team’s customer visits, makes recommendations and implements any follow up actions
+ Communicates with sales partners and customers while resolving product quality issues
We’re looking for a Lead Product Engineer with:
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
+ 3+ years of experience in product engineering; either in development or testing/qualification of mechanical/electromechanical products
+ Strong project management skills
+ Understanding mechanical and basic electromechanical components.
+ Ability to do basic CAD design
+ Experience with product testing and validation
+ Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies
+ Experience writing and implementing technical process control documentation
+ Working knowledge of PCBs and manufacturing/assembly principles is a plus
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment
