Lead Product Owner

Today, we continue to lead because we have a world-class, diverse workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do. **About this role:** Lead Product owner to implement Marketing Strategy through conducting complex research and decision making based on the analysis of that research. Consults with sales and functional lead personnel regarding financial aspects of product development, as well as the development and implementation of long-term business strategies for product development. Continuously recommends the best solution to complex problems through the use of industry best practices. **Key Responsibilities:** + Leads a team of experienced and new product owners + Drive consistency in requirements capturing process along with product managers + Identify and implement specific process improvements to speed up the transition of product requirements to concept to delivery. + Collects and analyzes macroeconomics, industry, and target market information to forecast market size. + Conducts competitive product and service analysis, and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience to develop product requirements and specifications. + Coordinates or participates in promotional activities or trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, or production managers, to market products or services. + Identifies, develops, and implements near-term and mid-term business strategies relating to the development of new products, technologies, services, follow-on products, and/or industries to ensure profitability and positioning in the market. + Initiates and prioritizes projects, tracks product/service development and develops product/service launch plans to effectively manage a product or service category's life cycle and ensure profitability. + Substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs, or systems to make enhancements within job area. + Understand and translate product strategy and regulatory requirements into user stories. + Ensure all user stories work together to meet overall scope and requirements. + Gather input about what should be created and understand the relative value of the functionality. + Provide the necessary details and context to user stories so that the team can deliver the feature or product needed. + Work directly with the product management team and others to keep stakeholders aware of design specifications and/or changes. + Create short-, medium-, and long-term product roadmaps with other members of the product management team. + Work with Enterprise level, C-Suite organizations on long-term plans and portfolio + Mentor, lead, and manage teams of junior-level Product Owners on highly complex projects. **Manage and groom the product backlog:** + Prioritize the product backlog. + Participate in backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions as needed. **Coordinate with third-party partners/suppliers:** + Drive product requirements + Logistics for commercialization + Consolidate feedback and prioritize changes based on customer feedback. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree + 5 + years of experience in product management and/or building automation industry + 5 + years of experience as an application engineer, application developer, system analyst, product owner, or product manager **Preferred Qualifications:** + Strong people management skills, written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking. + Experience with Carrier and/or Automated Logic building management system + Experience estimating and designing control systems. + Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking. + Demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. + Exhibits a high degree of influential leadership across business lines and levels of employees. + Ability to negotiate effectively and able to drive business needs forward with tight deadlines. + Comfortable making decisions and driving action(s) + Ability to work independently and part of a team. + Ability to coach and mentor others. + Excellent problem-solving skills + Ability to articulate complex ideas, presentations and plans simply and with clarity to all levels across the organization. + At least 3 years of experience in building automation products and mark ALC products as preferred. + Experience working in an Agile development environment using Scrum methodologies \#LI-Hybrid RSRCAR **Carrier is An Equal** **Opportunity/Affirmative** **Action Employer.
