UFP Site Built dba Endurable Building Products is looking for a Lead Project Manager within the multifamily construction industry to manage and facilitate our project management activities that results in successful installation of our aluminum architectural products on multifamily buildings. This is primarily an onsite position at our Brooklyn Center, MN production facility.
The Lead Project Manager oversees the project and field management teams while also managing some projects from start to finish. They evaluate client architectural and structural construction plans, and oversee project management procedures through the design, engineering, and release to fabrication process, and verifies communications with clients is maintained. The lead project manager creates an environment of collaboration with the sales team and project management team to meet the needs and requests of external and internal customers. In addition, the lead project manager works with the operations team, ensuring projects run smoothly through fabrication and within budgets.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and support the project management and field management teams with project priorities, construction specifications and project management procedures. Review new projects for delegation to project management team based on current project load analysis and project complexities. Ensure that projects are being well managed by the project management team and coordinated to hit customer milestones and within defined budgets. Participate in preliminary drawing review meetings to understand project scope and structural connection details and participate in meetings with clients to understand project specifications. Manage the structural engineering process with third party engineers. Ensure the drawing submittal process between project managers and general contractors is maintained and is an efficient, effective process. Ensure maintenance of accurate job files with appropriate information and documents. Monitor job revenue projections and coordinate billing with accounts receivable based on production timelines and completed work. Plan for and help resolve unexpected delays, production issues or schedule recovery options with project managers, field managers and general contractors. Provide for professional development of the project management team including daily coaching and mentoring feedback, monthly one-on-one meetings and annual performance reviews.Project manage projects including reviewing and understanding scope, review construction drawings, complete take-offs, manage submissions and approvals, release to fabrication, order hardware, create packing slips and facility all communication with general contractors. Manage change order process to ensure compliance with company standards. Review and help problem solve site issues, utilizing Endurable Field Manager expertise as appropriate, to equitable solutions with the customer while protecting Endurable’s interests.Job Specifications
Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent experience is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial Multifamily construction project management preferred. Working knowledge of Construction drawings and documentation, Microsoft Office including Teams, Excel, Word and Outlook.Skills and abilities
Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking.Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and customers.Demonstrated proficiency to manage multiple tasks and activities at once, to organize and set priorities, and to meet deadlines.
