Job Summary:
The Lead Project Manager oversees, plans, and coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
Responsibilities:
Manages, plans, and coordinates activities of Employee Benefits projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.Onboards new employees to ensure understanding of Epic Workflows and the lifecycle of a client.Coordinate Benefits Compliance efforts to provide consistent messaging across the region.Serve as a liaison for Employee Benefits Shared Services including eligibility, technology, marketing, etc.Establishes work plan and multi-disciplinary collaboration as needed.Collaborate with Enterprise Applications, Benefits Leadership, and others as necessary to review and assist with data cleanup efforts.Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Accounting, and other departments as needed for book of business consolidation, commission tracking and troubleshooting, carrier contracting and other projects as needed. May manage vendors and/or sub-contractors.Prepares project reports for management, client, or others. Confers with leadership team to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.May manage Project Supervisors/leaders assigned to specific projects in larger organizations.Exercises considerable judgment within defined procedures and policies or an appropriate level of risk taking to determine appropriate action.Builds productive working relationships.Requirements:
Working knowledge of Employee Benefits policy types, renewal cycle, workflows, and carriers.Current Insurance License in Health and Life for the state in which your agency office is located.Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Self-started but able to work well on a team.Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilitiesEducation/Experience:
7-9 years of employee benefits broker/consultant experience, preferably in an account management or project management role. High School Diploma or equivalent Skilled in Agency Management System workflows and knowledgePhysical Demands:
