This position is expected to be a field assignment based out of Southwest Michigan, USA. The location of the assignment can vary depending on the job and/or client. We do offer per diem for those that qualify.

 

Position Description

Significant growth in Sargent & Lundy’s (S&L) business over the past few years has driven the need to increase focus and investment in S&L’s Construction Management team. This team works closely with our external clients to handle every detail of their needs, as well as with our internal teams to make the projects run as seamlessly as possible.

 

Sargent & Lundy stands as a leader in energy solutions, devoted to assisting our clients to deliver dependable and sustainable power to communities nationwide. With an extensive client base covering fossil fuel, nuclear, and renewable energy sectors, we uphold a standard of excellence in power generation. We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Nuclear Project Scheduler to join our vibrant team to help support our client's projects. 

 

The core functions within the job scope are:

Develop and maintain project schedules for large scale construction projects.Collaborate with project teams to gather relevant data and input for scheduling purposes.Implement project controls processes and tools to ensure effective project management.Monitor and analyze project progress, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to optimize project timelines and resource allocation.Generate and present project progress reports to leadership and clients. Qualifications

The following skills, experience, and qualifications are required:

Minimum of 8 years of prior experience in project scheduling.Nuclear construction experience is preferred.Strong background in project controls, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and or Microsoft Project.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Detail-oriented and organized, with a strategic mindset to identify and address potential scheduling challenges.Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent trade experience.
