What The Role Offers

 

Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements for iOS and Android . Identify test scenarios for various device types, screen sizes, and operating system versions. Prioritize test cases based on risk assessment and project timelines. Execute manual test cases on a variety of iOS and Android devices to verify functionality, usability, and compatibility. Perform thorough regression testing to ensure new features do not impact existing functionalities. Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues not covered by scripted test cases. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks like Appium to automate repetitive test cases for both iOS and Android platforms. Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing. Log detailed defect reports with clear descriptions, screenshots, and steps to reproduce issues in a defect tracking system. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve identified defects. Conduct performance testing to evaluate app responsiveness, load times, battery usage, and memory consumption on various devices. Test applications across a wide range of iOS and Android devices, including different screen sizes, resolutions, and operating system versions. 

What you will need to succeed

 

BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or related technical fieldProven practical experience of at least 8 years as a QA Engineer.QA knowledge - Design and execute tests according to specs (requirements), report Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and life cycle Expertise in manual and automated testing on iOS and Android platforms Familiarity with automation frameworks like Appium, Selenium, or other relevant tools Knowledge of mobile device capabilities and limitations Basic understanding of programming languages like Java or Python (preferred) Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects effectively Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with developers and stakeholders Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Experience with Agile development methodologiesKnowledge of mobile testing tools like Firebase Test Lab, Browser Stack, or similar platformsFamiliarity with API testing conceptsExperience with performance testing tools (optional)
