LEAD QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST

The primary purpose of this position is to Serves as a Lead Quality Assurance Specialist/senior subject matter expert, researching, developing, recommending new/innovative corporate policies, practices, and processes for the management of the WR-ALC Quality Assurance Program. Performs official lead duties overseeing projects, assignments and studies. Responsibilities 1. Performs technical and administrative lead duties on a regular and recurring basis for 25% or more of the time by identifying, distributing, assisting, and balancing workload and tasks amongst employees by skill level, proficiency and/or occupational specialization, making adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of work assignments. 2.Consistently exercises independent judgement in directing and assigning work amongst employees by using determinative factors such as team member's expertise, experience, competence, workload availability, work priorities and team member functional development. 3. Prepares reports and maintains records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinates the preparation, presentation, and communication of work-related information to the supervisor. 4. Plans and carries out formal investigation of reportable and on-reportable mishaps involving personal injury accidents, property damage and cases of occupational illness covering a wide range of work operations. BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience includes evaluating, review, and administering the quality assurance program, procedures and practices to assure adequacy. Negotiates and coordinates issues pertaining to maintenance and manufacturing quality assurance. Participates with production, engineering, and other activities in developing plans and procedures for assuring quality and reliability of products. . NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of established safety and occupational health principles, practice, procedures, laws, regulations and current legislative issues as they relate to the military installation ground safety program; the requirements, methods, and techniques of accident and mishap investigation, analysis, resolution of normal occupational safety problems/health risks and formal reporting procedures; and risk assessment methods and techniques for evaluating normal occupational safety and health risks. 2. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. 3. Ability to identify, analyze and translate complex information, make appropriate judgements, and evaluate options. 4.
