Trinity Industries is hiring a Lead Quality Technician in our Fort Worth, TX facility!
As a Lead Quality Technician, you will make visual/measured inspections/tests of materials/products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if the product meets all requirements. Complete inspection records and reports and follow appropriate codes and regulations. Perform inspection of parts or material the majority of the time to ensure conformance with standards and determine if the product meets all requirements. Perform a variety of standard testing processes on in-process or final products during manufacturing or inspection and record and analyze results.
What you’ll do:
Utilize inspection tools and / or measuring equipment to ensure compliance with Trinity Industries, Inc. policy and procedures Apply quality processes and tools under the guiding rules of the AAR and FRA Lead a team by assigning tasks Assist in the completion of all tasks to meet deadlines Train quality inspectors Independently apply and use quality science and tools Complete and maintain certification on measuring and testing equipment Conduct compliance examinations to verify specified dimensions, strengths, and other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment Research inspection objectives to facilitate understanding of the program or activity to be inspected Follow all safety rules and practices May be involved in safety committees or initiatives Work efficiently with Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications - ExternalWhat you’ll need:
Minimum of 4 years experience in a quality role Must be able to work the Day shift High School Diploma or equivalent Familiarity with appropriate codes and regulations within the rail industry Ability to read drawings and blueprints Basic knowledge of operational function to be inspected Ability to perform and oversee visual and measured inspections using various measuring instruments and inspection equipment Qualifications - ExternalWhat you’ll need:
